Car Servicing
Return to your Online Booking
Regular car servicing can extend the life of a vehicle. The reason for this is simple - defects are found before they become catastrophic.
A small investment in routine car servicing and repair, plus a good inspection programme results in a good return on that investment due to:
- Reduced cost of repairs over the life of the vehicle
- Reducing unforeseen and possible breakdown risks
- Reduced vehicle time off the road
- Less inconvenience and less unforeseen expense
- Less likelihood of car accidents
- The possibility of greater fuel economy
- The possibility of increased product life
e.g. tyres last longer, brake discs do not become scored and in need of replacement
We offer a choice of vehicle manufacturer servicing schedules or our best value menu service programmes as shown below:
Which car servicing programme is best for you?
Interim - 6 month vehicle service
This 6-month service/check up is designed for the high mileage car user, or where the manufacturer recommends more frequent checks. This service helps maintain your vehicle and prevents unforeseen faults. Included are an oil and filter change and a wide range of checks on the fundamental items. See Service Schedules.
Full - 12 month vehicle service
This is a very comprehensive annual service for trouble free motoring. It exceeds most manufacturers service schedules with up to 70 checks and adjustments and includes the replacement of spark plugs* and the air filter element as well as changing the engine oil ** and oil filter. High quality parts are used such as Castrol Magnatec lubricants and Champion spark plugs. We check and record wear and tear items using a colour code reporting system to give you peace of mind. See Service Schedules.
* Additional charge for long-life, platinum and multi-electrode plugs.
** An additional charge will be made for engine sizes in excess of 2200cc. There will be an upgrade charge of £20 per service for special or fully synthetic oils.
Major - 24 month vehicle service
This 24-month service covers all areas of essential maintenance. In addition to all the items included on the Full service we cover items that are regularly recommended for replacement every 2 years. This includes changing the brake hydraulic fluids and the fuel system filters etc. By having the Major service you make significant saving on the cost of purchasing these extra items separately. See Service Schedules.
Combined vehicle service and MOT Test
Ask about Nationwide Autocentre's popular combined "Car Service and MOT test" package. Many of the items covered on the MOT test are also duplicated on our schedules. If, for example, you elect to have your Full Annual Service carried out at the same time as your annual MOT test then we are able to reduce the price of the service giving you a substantial saving. See Service Schedules.
Service Schedules and colour code reporting
An important part of the best practice policy is our clear service system. We have an extensive list of elements we check on each of our fixed price menu services. See Service Schedules.
Our trained staff are available to help you make an informed choice from the above list. When your service has been completed our staff will provide you with a clear report on the condition of your car using the colour codes shown below.
